Re: Aber Build

I am pleased to report that a few minutes with the angle grinder rendered the troublesome combi trailer "fit for purpose".  It will have to do now until I get back from Beale.

The best news of all, though, is that we managed to get Aberrare into the water for the first time last evening as a rowing boat.  Today, I turned it into a sailing boat.  The pics of the launch are on my good lady's camera but I will post some when I can.

Looking forward to seeing some of you on the Thames next week.

Best regards,

David.

Re: Aber Build

Wonderfull.
You´ve been very fast. Will you be posting more photos (higher res. please)? And I want to see that sloop rig in action.
Is it a second mast position behind the little foredeck?

Dear All,

It was a beautiful day in the South West, yesterday, and I took advantage of the weather and the tide to take Aberrare out.  I had a lovely sail around the Kingsbridge estuary in light airs.

I then picked up my (strictly non-sailing) good lady wife and the dog from Bowcombe bridge and she rowed us all the way back to Kingsbridge with a quick stop at the Crabshell Inn, en route.  I think I can claim a major result, all round!

Best regards,

David.
