20 odd years ago I built Ian Oughtred's Blackfish, which I still use but now keep on the Isles of Scilly. As I am getting on a bit and not as spritely as I once was, I am thinking of building something with a bit more room, and not as tender. And as I will be sailing in the Bristol channel, I need something a bit quicker to combat the tides.
I like the look of Apple, either as a lugsail ketch or with the gaff cutter rig.
Has anyone built one, and what is the sailing performance like?
