Haven't built one of Gavin's designs but I've had a quick look at the notes and plans and can see how he's laid them out. If any of this is wrong I'm sure Gavin will chip in and correct things!
Seems to me that you lay your first ply sheet flat on trestles or a bench. Each letter in the notes correlates to the letter on the corresponding diagram. Against each letter in the notes are two numbers. The first number is the measurement along the sheet from left to right, the second is the measurement up the sheet from the bottom. So position A is half an inch from the left hand end of the sheet and five and five eighths inches up from the bottom. Then position B is thirteen and three quarter inches from the left end of the sheet then five and three eighths inches up from the bottom edge of the sheet.
Best way to do this can be to mark one of the measurements on the sheet, then draw a line at that measurement (so a vertical line half an inch from the left hand edge of the sheet would be the start for position A.) then you can measure up that line and put another line across it five and five eighths inches up from the bottom. Then I'd label that crossing A and move on to repeat that process for each other point.
To do this it helps to have a big T square. B&Q used to do a great one called a Dry Wall square. Alternatively you could use a decent woodworking square and a metre rule.
Always check each measurement. Easy to correct a mistake now, a real pain after you've cut the panel!

Plywood panel 1. Can someone start me off on how to take the sizes off the Notes
and put them on to the plywood.
