Does anyone happen to know a source of s/s carbine or snap hooks smaller than 4mm diameter 40mm length (which seems to be the smallest 'standard')?
This query is NOT to save me the bother of a google search! - I've googled at some length, but can't find anything small enough (even our mountaineering friends don't seem to be able to help). I got some small aluminium carbines of ideal size from eBay last year, but they turned out to be quite flimsy and not up to the job.
I'm going to try some snap hooks designed for fly fishing (no, not actual fish hooks!), but they may not work and/or may not be corrosion-proof enough (they aren't s/s).
Thought it was worth asking. Cheers
