You may have noticed that the erstwhile editor of Classic Boat, Dan Houston, stood down recently. I have been an occasional reader of that publication but I have always found it, ultimately, rather unsatisfying in a glitzy, "up itself", sort of way. Anyway, surprise, surprise, a new mag in the form of Classic Sailor ("for seamanship in seaworthy boats") has recently appeared on our news shelves with Mr Houston at the helm. I have just bought the first issue and, whilst they are clearly trying hard to attract new readers at the moment, and they may not have got all their advertisers on board yet and cluttering the whole thing up, I thought there was a lot of good content in it. It also looks as though one of our own, in the form of a certain Mr Partridge, is going to be contributing regularly on all things to do with rowing.
See what you think.
David.
