Hi everyone,
I am trying to help my father in law who turned 80 this year and doesn't have the time or energy to finish his wooden boat building project.
In around 2005 he bought plans for a Philip C Bolger’s Fan Tailed Launch. Which for those who aren't familiar when finished looks like this;

He built a garage to do the work and constructed a lofting table and drafted up keel, frames, coaming canopy.

He built keel and frames and coaming while lofting table was still available.

As far as I understand (and I really don't know anything about boats) he has finalised the keel and attached two coats of fibreglass and sanded them down.
The plan was for the launch to be powered by a Torqeedo electric motor, batteries to be charged from solar panels on a rigid canopy which would drop down over the coaming to provide security and waterproofing.
He has asked me to help find a good home with someone who would like to take on the project. He isn't looking for any money but would need to know that its in safe hands.
I'm a craftsman myself and although I work in precious metal not wood I can see how well he has built this and taken time to get it right. I wish I had the time and skill to finish for him but it is not to be.
If you are interested or know anyone who would be I would be very grateful. The boat is currently in the workshop in Hersham, Surrey. I have posted on a couple of forums so if you're interested let me know as soon as you can.
Thanks for reading!
Jos
