Happy Joooobleee Everyone.

All this chatter about the Queen's Platinum Jubilee has brought back memories of ten years ago and what a great time we all had celebrating her 60 years on the throne.

We had several maiden voyages.

Tim launched Zelva.

Chris W launched Polly Wee.

I launched Katie Beardie

And of course Ratcatcher brought his much modified TBA along.
Miss you John.

Have to say there wasn't much bunting and the assembled crowd didn't look too impressed.

Re: Happy Joooobleee Everyone.

I remember it well.
On the Jubilee day, Adrian and me braved the deluge to walk to Eynsham, where we sat dripping and shivering whilst supping a couple of pints. It was a pretty miserable few days.
Of course there was the memorable camp at Wallingford, where some blamed the water on their hangovers...

Had there been a Thames meeting this year, I'd have come along and spent a few days there. As it is I'm very slowly heading East on the K&A, currently a few miles west of Pewsey.
I now envisage being on tthe Thames around mid to late July, and heading up to Oxford to join the S Oxford canal. That's the plan, but I wouldny be surprised if I spend my second winter on the K&A
Cheers Pete on Cat.
