Laminating a thwart

Hi All,

As usual I need some advice.  I am making the curved mast thwart for the coot.  I have built the former and a test piece, but the temperature has dropped very low in the frozen north.

So I need to negotiate with She Who Must Be Obeyed to laminate it in the dining room.  Its going to be made up of 6 or 7 layers of oak.  I have been using epoxy but wondered wether it would be better to use resorcinol glue, especially in the house.

Any advice on which would be better, I care most about the join not the house.  And recommendations on a resorcinol glue as I have no experience of these.

Never used resorcinol, so not much help! 

My view: if in doubt use epoxy. To keep mess to minimum wrap the laminates in clingfilm after layering them with epoxy. Keeps all the mess very neatly contained as you clamp the strips to the mould. Peels or planes off afterwards very easily.
