I admire John C Harris's designs more and more. Take a look at this:

Maybe its an Illusion, but the design looks familiar.

aka A floating bath tub, that fills up with rain water that collects midships, under your feet and gear.

That's what diddly dri-bags and floorboards are for

Or store your kit in the buoyancy ends

Then bare feet, Crocs

Or boots
