Are there rules to which orientation for glasscloth on outside of hull on stitch and glue dinghy?
as in (Bow to Stern) or (Sheer to Sheer)
My thinking is that sheer to sheer would be easier to do single handed and take the shape more readily although the overlaps would require a bit more work.
The cloth has pretty much the same strength on both axes, so that's not a concern. Normally it'd be laid fore and aft, with an overlapping join down the keel if the cloth isn't wide enough to cover with a single length.
