Following on from the success of an electric hoist for Elsa the Heron, I want to build a lifting beam for MilliBee who is about 200-250kg.
3m span, I can securely bolt flat to a wall one end, the other will need an A-frame or similar.
Does anyone know how to calculate approximate beam strength, deflection etc. ? a Wood/Aluminium structure possibly.
