egg-laying wool-milk-sow

I´m looking for a "egg-laying wool-milk-sow" *g*

I wanna use it single or with my wife like a canoe (so a seakayak is out of order)

on rivers, big lakes(short high waves), coastal cruising, islandjumping

loadcapacity: camping gear for 2 persons  + us (~ 220 kg)

possible adapted with sailing-equipement (for quick islandjumping, ama?)

length: ~ 5m
beam: 0,8-0,9 m
hullweight: < 40 kg

Does someone has an idea?

Best regards from vienna/austria

hannes

I think Hugh Horton's Bufflehead sailing canoe meets your spec.

Here Hugh is paddling two up

sailing off Cedar Key

Plans here http://www.duckworksbbs.com/plans/bufflehead/index.htm

Web site for Swiss builder here

http://www.bootsbaugarage.ch/bufflehead_en.htm

Here's Axel carrying Bufflehead on his shoulder

A simpler solution would be any two seater open canoe fitted with Solway Dory's lug rig and outriggers.

Loads on the Song of the Paddle sailing canoe forum here

http://www.songofthepaddle.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?28961-First-impressions-of-sailing-the-Solway-Dory-35-sq-ft-Expedition-Rig.

Hope this helps - your requirements can be met.

Re: egg-laying wool-milk-sow

thanks brian

I know bufflehead and I'm in contact with axel.

I think he is planning a s&g-version of the bufflehead

but I don't know if the bufflehead has the answered loading capacity in secute modus

does someone know it?
