I sometimes used to go home from work through the British Museum and passed an interesting skin on frame boat in a display case. Finally took some pictures today (while visiting the Viking exhibition) and posting a few here. The boat is only 10 feet long and apparently made for a woman or child, real sealskin on driftwood frame; the frame is sewn together with sinew, or maybe strips of skin. Pictures taken through glass so a bit hazy.
