Haven't seen a price on the new reversable Mirage drive yet, may have to sell Kate to get one.

Must admit I've never really felt the need to pedal backwards and, probably because I cut my teeth sailing, never felt worried about not being able to slam the drive in reverse to stop.

Having said that, it's new and shiny and somehow unaccountably attractive!

But I can't go buying new toys, just blew the budget on one...

My milestone birthday present from Kate. First registered only a month or three after I was born, so manufactured about that same time I was... couldn't resist. I have visions of pootling round the Limousin in the sunshine in the spring and autumn (summer's for boats and visitors.) Maybe a trip to the Alps sometime. Alternatively I may just spend hours fixing it, still fun.

Ariel Huntmaster, pre-unit 650, if anyone cares.

Are you allowed to tow a boat with one of these?

Tim.

Sail when you can, motor when you can't.
