Coot near completion

As a watcher rather than regular poster on this forum I tend not to post many subjects.

But after several years in the build, my coot finally came out of the workshop so I could prep the workshop for painting and varnishing.  Whilst a slow build it has been very enjoyable and I am rather proud of my first boat build.  Hence the post

Cheers

James

Re: Coot near completion

Brilliant James, she looks great, almost too nice to paint. Look forward to seeing her on the water.

Agree with Graham, that's beautiful wood and you've done some very fine carpentry and you should show it off! You could consider an oil finish for the interior.

Tim.

Hope this reaches the group

Launched for rowing, a few minor tweaks required, next step is to finish rudder and rigging then test before final varnish and paint.

Re: Coot near completion

Lovely; the edging around the mast partner is especially pleasing.
