I did like the idea of the hammock next to the build. Could adopt that idea!

Definitely one up on the 'thinking chair'.

Re: Popeye the boatbuilder

There are advantages

A net hammock is really comfy; it can be stowed away in a moment, leaving the space for all the other activities that go on in a small boat, it's not bulky or heavy, you can't puncture it and if it gets wet, there's not a lot to get wet -

I usually sleep feet forward as there is more room for the shoulders aft, but if it's a clement night, or I need a quick break, then head under the 'cudulette' works just fine, if very little wriggle room.

There  are a semi-detached pair below in my little gaffer as well, of which the starboard one usually stays set up as a shelf and seat, providing a space to port to live and move and have your being -

....well leave your legs, while cooking etc.  Sadly I can't find a picture at the moment.

Re: Popeye the boatbuilder

And there's space under it for even more stuff.

I really like the words 'it doesn't puncture' after being let down (literally) on two separate trips by new Vango sleeping mats, I might consider a hammock as an option for the Ilur.

I'm sure there's a riddle in there somewhere... what's full of holes but doesn't leak... or something.
