Thames Bridges

Thames Valley Skiff Club rowed the length of the non-tidal Thames in three days, and one of them has posted pics of nearly every bridge in a very entertaining blog post here: https://expeditionrowing.blogspot.com/2019/05/from-lechlade-to-teddington-in-76.html#more

For the avoidance of doubt, while I am in awe of their athleticism and organisation with ground crews and everything, I think they are nuts and our strategy of ambling from pub to pub is infinitely preferable in every way.

Re: Thames Bridges

Very amusing!

It's interesting how we all like similar Thames bridges.

The Brunel bridges are in my top 5.

Modern road bridges, like over the M3/M4, have a special place in hell.

Agreed, always one for an amble me and the more pubs the better. Of course at their prices towing a few barrels behind our boats could also be an option.
